Awesome product
Let me start by saying that im NOT a guitar player but i like to play some riff every once in a while. This pedalboard is so easy to use and i can get the sound i want in a matter of minutes. The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. I just to have another pedal board and you have to turn a bunch of knobs and that was very annoying to me.this pedalboard hits the spot.

TJ
5.0 out of 5 stars Very user friendly and sounds great live
Reviewed in Canada on July 9, 2018
I purchased this to replace a Marshall JMP-1 MIDI Pre-amp and TC Electronic G Major Guitar Processor. I use wireless guitar bugs from AKG and a Line 6 Relay 10 for an Ovation electric acoustic and Fender Stratocaster and merge them to one channel with a Rane 4 channel rackmount mixer. The output of the Rane goes into the Headrush Pedalboard from there.

I must say that over 20 years of technology upgrades from the JMP-1 and G Major are very obvious in my first gig since purchasing the Headrush Pedalboard. I always had some noise from my JMP-1 while not playing anything through it so having no sound what-so-ever from the Headrush was a welcoming upgrade.

I did do a lot of research before making my purchase as the Line 6 Helix and Helix LT were first on my list of options. The problem was the high price associated with them. However, even though a lot of people posted online reviews saying they preferred the Helix LT over the Headrush Pedalboard, I'm sure the type of music they played was more garage-band, grunge, hard-rock, heavy metal, etc that I rarely play. I use my acoustic guitar more when playing live. I also didn't like editing the G Major as the scrolling through the settings was time consuming and not very user friendly. Soon after watching the Headrush Pedalboard online tutorial videos, I only need to spend one afternoon to replicate about 10 settings for both my acoustic and electric guitars that I used on my JMP-1 and G Major. That is how simple and user friendly the Headrush is. This board can finally give me some incentive to create more sounds to suit more of the different types of songs we play.

My friend in the band noticed how much cleaner and better my guitars sounded at today's gig. Although he hasn't heard any of the other pedals I could have bought, he was very pleased with the sound I got from the Headrush Pedalboard. The pedalboard is definitely large and bulky so it will take some time to get used to carrying and setting it up at each gig. I just hope inMusic provides enough resources to keep HeadRush going with firmware updates and continued support.

I like that the Headrush Pedalboard can be used as an audio interface with a computer and allowing it to work with a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I have a Pro Tools 8 setup from a long time ago and am planning to upgrade to Pro Tools 11 or 12 as I'd like to see if I can keep using my Digi 002 so I will see how the Headrush Pedalboard can be utilized in my setup for my upgraded home studio in the near future.

I'll try to update my experience with the Headrush Pedalboard as I get more familiar with it but I am truly enjoying it after using it for the first time at a gig today.

Update: October 21, 2018

Firmware update 2.0.0 was released October 18, 2018 that contains some impressive additions:
- 7 new amp models
- 160 IR's
- 3 Modulation FX (Smart Harm, Tron Filter, Ring Mod)
- 2 Reverb/Delay FX (Shimmer, Air Delay)
- Auto Swell to Dynamics
- Group preset rigs into Songs within a setlist
- Song View
- Option to reverse Hybrid View
- Save in Hands-Free Mode using a footswitch
- Toggle reverb and delay tails per effect within a rig
- Scroll parameters displayed for the 3 parameter knobs

I haven't tried all the new updates but the ones I did try were great. I spent a little bit of time adjusting my existing presets to take advantage of some of the new features before my next gig. I am definitely happy I made this purchase decision over the Helix LT. However, if I can warrant the additional $800 cost, I may buy the newly released Line 6 HX Stomp down the road just to have a bit of the Helix flagship pedalboard sound.

HeadRush also released the Gigboard a few weeks ago which has the same capabilities as the HR Pedalboard but in a smaller form factor and without an expression pedal. With the release of the Gigboard and the Firmware update 2.0.0 for the Pedalboard, they have given me a bit more confidence that inMusic has given resources to continue to develop and support HeadRush for the foreseeable future.

I wound up getting Pro Tools 11 to keep using my Digi 002 and the integration with the Pedalboard is great using the Reamping mode. Reamping allows you to change the coloration of an amp to a pre-recorded audio signal from a DAW and then recording it back into the DAW. For those of you who know, this saves a lot of computer processing power in not using a DAW plug-in instead. Plus, some DAW guitar plug-ins are not the best sounding or easiest to adjust using a mouse unless you have a controller with assignable knobs and faders. I've only tried reamping once on a pre-recorded guitar track so far and it's so much faster than using a plug-in (I have Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 Pro) to get a sound your looking for (although I'll admit that I'm currently not as familiar with the plug-in compared to the Pedalboard).

Update: November 8, 2018

I had a terrible gig as a result of me not understanding enough about IR's (Impulse Response). I read some blogs that said each rig should use an IR so I inserted one for each of my rigs a few hours before my next gig. The mids and lows stood out a lot with the IR's and made my sound really muddy. After the gig, I did some more research and also recorded my guitars on a DAW to playback on the HR to allow me to tweak the settings without me having to play and adjust at the same time. What I didn't know was that there are IR's specifically made for acoustic guitars (I wound up using IR's that were really meant for electric guitars for that gig). After buying some Acoustic IR's from 3 Sigma Audio, I set up my acoustic rigs properly this time for my next gig. Wow - what a big difference and much better sound! Although I tried to overcompensate by boosting the highs, the sound was much better this time around. I tweaked my sounds again after the 2nd gig so hopefully my next gig will require less tweaking on the go.

The acoustic IR's I bought were Takamine PDC, Taylor 610, Martin 45 and Gibson 45. These IR's are much better than the free IR's available on the net and worth the US$10 each I paid. I may buy the 3 remaining Acoustic IR's that 3 Sigma Audio has at this time. So as I'm learning more with the pedalboard, the better I am able to figure things out and correct them as I go.

Update: July 17, 2019

Firmware update 2.1 was released July 2, 2019:
- 3 new amp models
- 140 new IR's
- 3 new Expression FX (Chord Wham, Feedback, Time Warp)
- 2 new Reverb/Delay FX (Reverse Delay, Pitch Delay)
- added Drop Tune to Modulation category
- added Anxiety OD to Distortion category
- added Noise Filter to Dynamics/EQ category
- ability to save and load loops
- ability to configure scenes and load block presets
- ability to sort IR's using subfolders
- ability to select lower intervals while using the Smart Harm effect
- ability to control the device using external MIDI CC messages

I bought a hard case for this pedalboard with the link here: https://www.amazon.ca/Plano-108364-Tactical-Weather-Single/dp/B00E221A88/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=plano&qid=1563429286&s=gateway&sr=8-8

The picture I included in this review is the same for the hard case.
