I recommended this pedal to a friend and fellow musician recently and he just texted me to tell me how well it worked to clean up the noise on his pedalboard as well....and he uses twice the pedals I do.
The pedal is built like a tank, looks great on the board, and does everything it's supposed to do. I couldn't be happier.
That being said, if you do buy it, for the love of your favorite deity, buy a 9v power adapter, because this pedal will suck the life out of a 9v (Energizer, Duracell, doesn't matter) extremely quickly. Especially if you forget to unplug the guitar input cable. I bought a nice $20 9v adapter and am pleased as punch.
- Separate guitar in/out and suppression in/out (see below)
- The attack and decay are just right, your dynamics are preserved and you don't get any annoying tail of noise before the gate closes
- One simple and effective control. On most effects I like more control. On a noise suppressor, I want it simple.
- Built like a tank
- Shiny chrome :)
This is the only noise suppressor I found that has guitar in/out separated from the noise suppression in/out. This is awesome, and I have no idea why no one else is doing it. It means that the pedal always reacts to your guitar's raw, unaltered input signal, so you can put any wall of noise you like after it and it will follow your guitar's original dynamics. It also means you can put it wherever you want in your effects chain and it will open and close the gate at EXACTLY the same time. Yeah, it's expensive. Get it anyway.
